I was reading “Liberty and Tyranny” by Mark Levin and found the book fascinating. What I loved the most was how Mark leads people down a path of facts that show how the “statists” (read: there are liberal AND conservative statists) are ruining America and the American way of life. He also (in many chapters) talks a lot about how this can change.
Anyway, while reading his book (in chapter 8 ‘On Enviro-Statism’ or chapter 9 ‘On Immigration’ I cannot recall) I got fired up and decided to start this website.
Even if you are not conservative you MUST GET ALL THE FACTS. It is important to know the facts from both sides of the fence. No matter who said this, Sun Tzu or Michael Corleone, it is a KEY QUOTE that is without question imperative to understand “…keep your friends close but your enemies closer“.
I say that because reading and researching is your biggest ally. Watching channels like MSNBC, CNN, local news or FoxNews is good perspective but the mainstream media usually does not give you the truth. Fox news tries to give you the truth and is the best at it because they give you both sides of the story AND they touch stories most local media outlets will not touch for fear of being tormented or ridiculed. The latest news ratings at tvbythenumbers shows that overwhelmingly Fox News is the highest rated broadcast channel.
Total Day P2+ (000s) 25-54 (000s) 35-64 (000s) FOXN 1275 239 500 CNN 364 103 165 MSNBC 406 161 214 CNBC 138 41 59 FBN 53 7 21 HLN 150 72 94 Primetime P2+ (000s) 25-54 (000s) 35-64 (000s) FOXN 2087 359 739 CNN 661 153 256 MSNBC 622 205 342 CNBC 187 97 122 FBN 61 6 31 HLN 133 53 71
I surmise that Fox News ratings are higher because people want to hear the truth. OK I get it… it is possible Fox News has the highest ratings because ‘conservatives’ are more active in learning the truth. No matter how you see it, I only stated all this because I wanted people reading this to understand that getting TRUTH is the most important way to decide. No matter whom you trust, check the facts… maybe even check them twice. Do not be duped by shows that give you false information OR twist the truth to suit their needs.
This website is here to try to bring as many facts to light as possible. I will of course offer my opinion (lord knows I am very opinionated) but I think it critical that we also check the facts. Too many places on the internet is inundated with “pseudo-facts” that are inherently suspect.
Chuck Conners (as Luke McCain in the Rifleman; Sea 3 Ep 3 “Seven”) once said (here are the lines from that part of the episode):
“Pa, is it possible to loose a town?” he suddenly blurted out.
“Loose a town?” I asked as I looked at him. Then I suddenly realized he was thinking about what happened to those prisoners last night. Mark figured they could’ve taken the town away from us. “They could’ve taken it physically, Mark, but they couldn’t have kept it. Takes more then just guns to hold a town. No son, the time a town or even a country is really lost is when the people who live in it get careless and stop paying attention to how it’s being run.”
Again, Mark surprised me by blurting out, “Oh, you mean like the Roman Empire!”
